job market for skilled workforce in the fields of manufacturing, construction, hospitality & tourism,
textile garments, agriculture, livestock & fisheries, renewable energy, printing and packaging, and
allied health.

This study adopts a mixed-method research approach to analyze skill supply-demand mismatches, industry requirements, and institutional gaps across ten districts of GB. The region’s labour market was found to be characterized by highly informal labour, seasonal employment, and underutilized economic sectors with huge potential for marketpull, particularly in tourism, agribusiness, renewable energy, and mining.
Gender Skill Gap & Market Need Analysis 2024
The scope of this report is the component IV which aims to increase the skilled female workforce in the digital and high-tech sector in Gilgit Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Baluchistan. Under this initiative, digital and hi-tech courses/qualifications will be developed, and female-oriented centres of excellence (CoEs) will be established in target areas.
